We all have heard the phrase, "You are what you eat!" This is the simplest most accurate health statement around, but what exactly does it mean? It means exactly what it says. You literally are what you eat. Your nails, skin, Hair, and even body odor all are directly products of what you eat. People that eat clean and live healthy lifestyles tend to have good hair growth, great skin, healthy nails, and overall good health. The thing is that working out is only a smaller portion of a large problem. What you eat is 60, YES 60% of your health or lack thereof. AMAZING RIGHT! You can be attending your gym on a daily basis, but if your eating isn?t right, it could be all in vain.

How much you eat can be, and is, just as important as what you eat. So, what is the correct way to eat? The answer is simpler than you think.

1. Eat 3-6 times a day--that means a breakfast, lunch, and dinner. No excuses! Train your body to eat the way you need it to eat. After forcing yourself to eat correct, you will find your bad habits changing into good habits.

2. Smaller portions--you don?t need to make yourself eat smaller portions. You will automatically eat smaller portions when you increase how many meals you eat a day.

3. Read Labels--knowing what you?re eating is very important. Ignorance is not bliss! You will be surprised at what is in your favorite things. Read everything! Make it a habit!

4. Weigh Your Pros vs. Cons--When preparing food or buying food, ask yourself if that burger, cake, candy, beer, and etc... is worth giving away all of your hard work at the gym. Is it worth gaining the weight in areas that you don't want weight? Is it?

As "Christians" we are always concerned about God?s plan for us and keeping his commandments, but we cannot allow ourselves to pay attention to some sins and ignore others. No sin is greater or smaller. One of the seven deadly sins is GLUTINY! Our God is not pleased with us being unhealthy. He wants us to have life and have it more abundantly! Being unhealthy is not of God, but just like any other sin, the choice is yours.
