God Being My Helper

God is your helper in all things, especially in marriage. Marital counseling is one of the most underused tools even among Christians. With the divorce rate in the church just as high as in the world it is apparent that some are not using God’s help. CCN is committed to strong families and happy marriages. We hope to provide helpful tools in choosing a husband/wife, but the information that we provide is not to be used instead of a Godly counselor, but in addition to.

In Proverbs 11:14 says, that there is safety in a multitude of counselors. The bible says that without a plan your purpose will fail (Prov. 15:22). Below is list that is depending on God’s help in your marriage. Go through it with your current/future mate to see where you are and allow God to be your helper.

  1. I am committed to my spouse until death separates us.
  2. I am committed to helping my mate grow in every area of life.
  3. I am committed to treating my partner like the Lord would treat her/him.
  4. I am committed to bringing out the best in my wife/husband.
  5. I am committed to standing by my mate regardless of the circumstances.
  6. I am committed to helping my partner reach his/her goals and dreams.
  7. I am committed to loving my spouse with the love of the Lord.
  8. I am committed to being ‘swift to hear and slow to speak.’
  9. I am committed to respecting my mate’s differences and uniqueness.

  11. I am committed to being faithful to my spouse.
  12. I am committed to making our wedding vows come true.
  13. I am committed to following the Bible in order to keep my vows and commitments in marriage.

  15. I am depending on God for strength and wisdom to keep my commitment.
