Is Tikki The New Tiger?

Ticki Barber just left his Asian wife of 11 years and two sons (6 and 7-years-old) for a 23-year-old NBC intern who is described as blonde and ‘model-thin’. To add insult to injury, his wife Ginny is 8-months pregnant again with TWINS. If it feels like Deja vu, it probably is. This story is nearly identical to the 2004 incident with Kevin Federline (K-Fed) and mother of his 2-year-old child Shar Jackson. Shar was both engaged and pregnant at the time of his public departure for another blonde beauty, Britney Spears.

Whatever happened to fidelity, monogamy and commitment? I’m sick and tired of men who leave their families to chase tail all around the world. Tikki’s fetish for newness has left his wife and kids ABANDONED while he snuggles up tight with some young bombshell to the demise of his own family.

What’s even worse to me are people’s reactions to the news. Both men and woman are claiming no remorse for a beautiful, gold-digging Asian chick who was stupid for getting knocked up. So, somehow it’s her fault for being beautiful. It’s her fault for being chosen by a celebrity athlete. It’s her fault for getting impregnated (by her own HUSBAND). It's her fault for being a supportive wife for eleven long years. It's her fault for being cheated on with a younger woman. This is totally ridiculous.

I wonder do we care less because he cheated on his Asian wife with a White woman. I wonder would the reactions be any different if his wife were Black. Well, I guess his wife deserves it, right? The nerve of this Asian woman for thinking that love and commitment actually means anything anymore. Who cares if Tikki lavishes another woman with gifts, trips around the world and a piece of his anatomy which is supposed to be reserved for his wife. I guess Tiger is thanking his lucky stars that the spotlight in not on him for a moment.

There are two sides to every story and we certainly don’t know all the details yet, but Ginny definitely doesn’t deserve what is happening to her.

Well this isn't the first time that I've heard about this subject! the problem lies here: why is it that we're shocked when professional athletes, celebrity types, polititians or people of God fall from this type of behavior?! Our role model should be Christ and his teachings but yet and still our role models continue to be the individuals mentioned above, why is that?! it makes absolutely no sense. Instead of focusing ou the faults of our celebrities and their failures in marriage why don't we pray for these individuals instead of shaking our heads in disappointment. as Christ has said "let he who is without sin cast the first stone!"
